Denna kväll får ni höra altsaxofonen på tre olika vis.
En sparsmakt nostalgitur i jazzes tonspråk, ett utforskande av saxofonens ljudande möjligheter med hjälp av rundgång och samplingar, och en expressiv saxofonist i tätt samspel med en makalös slagverkare.

Magnus Granberg Solo – saxofon

Som ung lusläste han orkesterjournalen från pärm till pärm och lärde sig blåsa ut sig själv genom saxofonhålets munstycke. Samtidigt vred sig öronen mot samtida musik-, konst- och litteraturyttringar.
Klarinetten och pianot gick före och hörs nu bland annat i den förnämliga gruppen Skogen. På Rönnells Antikvariat i Stockholm kan man höra honom nynna mellan bokhyllorna som bokantikvarie.

Aram Shelton Solo – saxofon, elektronik

Aram Shelton re-arranges and extends sounds including resonant feedback, complex harmonics and multi-phonics from a 1927 Conn alto saxophone. This rich source material is used to create multiple layers of tones through sample based explorations. The resulting sounds are patiently lush with static energy, and invoke imagery such as shadows and twilight.
